Sudan oil is not just been paralyze by the global economic crisis but miss management and corruption within the government officials is playing very vital roll. There will be no recovering at all in the Sudan economy, especially southern Sudan due to it ongoing corruption and violent a among the government official.

Perhaps the leadership of the JEM wants to seperate themselves from the image of their enemy Al-Bashir and want to appear compliant with the ICC. It would be interesting to find out whether there are any other members of the JEM that are also on trial with the ICC.

It's really frustrating when you really try to achieve peace but a lot of people would then try to disobey from it like the attack. I think there aren;t enough troops that are deployed to keep peace in the process. Makes me think of the need for more international actions.
This project will be building a school there in Sudan. To be built in Leer, Sudan, the school will be fostering the children and at the same time nurturing the minds of the young children there. This school will be for the children of Sudan, keeping them away from the effects of war. This school is in honor of Emma McCune, the angel who saved the WarChild. To help build a school, we would need to support this cause.

Coming home to Sudan after many years away is an extraordinary and humbling experience. Whatever the challenges, there is so much opportunity here to build ourselves the kind of life which is impossible in the West. Our land and its blessings give us the chance to develop ways of living which are clean, sustainable and healthy. We don't have to replicate the huge and overcrowded cities which produce such misery in so many lives.

We can build the kind of lives here which Londoners and New Yorkers can only dream about. But first we have to visualise and imagine how those lives should be.

Imagine an Abyei which points the way to a better future for all of the Sudan, all of Africa, maybe all the world. A place where we produce the best and freshest food, instead of waiting for the next famine. A place where children go to local schools which benefit from all the resources which technology can bring, instead of shining shoes or running boda-bodas. A place where our elders can once again assume their role as leaders of grace and wisdom, instead of begging beside jammed roads which they fear to cross. A place where people can live and work in vibrant grass roots communities, instead of eking out precarious lives among the trash heaps of our cities.

We can bring the towns to the villages, but we don't have to repeat the fossilised mistakes of an Industrial Revolution which happened 300 years ago to benefit only those with capital. We can be thee future.

The relationship between Israel and South Sudan starts with the fact that the cultures of the Nilotic Groups - how they marry, how they bury, and how they ceremonially sacrifice their cows -mirrors very closely that of Ancient Isreal as described in the Old Testament. In many ways, Israel is the fruit of the Nile River and is literally watered by it.

The desire to punish people for crimes they commit needs to be matched by a capacity and resolve to actually bring them to justice. Joseph Kony of the LRA is a case in point. The ICC has condemned him, but where is the muscle to execute this judgment? He is only being radicalized in his bush hideout in the forests of Congo. We need to show the capacity and resolve to bring people to justice. If not, we need a creative alternatives. It seems like a creative middle ground in the Sudan is at least worth exploring if the international community lacks the capacity or resolve to bring officials to justice for crimes they commit.

With all of these attrocities committed against the people of Abyei it is commendable that the people of the south have maintained the peace through it all. The recent roadmap for return of IDPs shows that the victory of diplomacy may be the most significant victory in this battle against brutal oppression. So even with our history of fighting oppression we can now exercise restraint to show the international community that the SAF forces are the ones that are truly out of control
